Outdoor Class Descriptions...
TRAIL FIT is a guided walking-based program with challenging "Fit-Stops." These are stations along the route that will work core, legs and upper body! We may do this workout on a local trail, but it’s more than just a walk in the park!
URBAN WORKOUT is an outdoor workout session that will build your stamina and strength while giving you the knowledge to safely use publicly available outdoor fitness equipment. Interval training at stations increases muscle endurance and strength. A fun, social outing that just happens to be a great workout!
WALKING STRONG helps build endurance and stamina through brisk walking (about 2 km), while weights (optional during the walk) provide tone and strength intervals between laps of the track. We sometimes use a 4-6ft sturdy stick to incorporate extra stretch, balance, and mobility training to round out this energizing workout. Bring (or borrow) weights and a balance stick. Wear good walking/training shoes and dress for the weather.
